The Problem
Workplace conflicts often diminish team morale and productivity, particularly when leaders lack effective conflict resolution skills. Many leadership courses rely heavily on theory-based learning, making it challenging for participants to apply the concepts in real-world situations. To bridge this gap, learners need hands-on, decision-based experiences that simulate authentic workplace challenges. By engaging in realistic scenarios, they can evaluate the consequences of their leadership decisions, enhance their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and reflect on their decision-making process for future application. This practical approach ensures that learners are better equipped to handle conflicts effectively in their professional roles.
The Solution
I created an interactive, scenario-based eLearning course using Articulate Storyline, designed to simulate real-life workplace conflicts. The course features decision-making interactions with branching consequences, allowing learners to experience the impact of their choices. Each decision triggers immediate feedback, explaining how their actions influence team morale and productivity. To promote self-awareness, I included a reflective practice activity where learners analyze their decision-making process. Throughout the course, I applied adult learning principles to encourage active participation, engagement, and real-world application, ensuring the content is both practical and impactful.
My Process
To develop this course, I followed the ADDIE instructional design model, ensuring a structured and effective creation process. During the Analysis phase, I identified the need for conflict resolution training tailored to corporate managers, focusing on real-world decision-making skills. I defined clear learning objectives that emphasized practical application. In the Design phase, I outlined the course structure, mapped branching scenarios, and created a detailed storyboard specifying decision points, consequences, and feedback layers. For the Development phase, I built the course in Articulate Storyline, incorporating interactive elements such as branching paths, layered feedback, and reflection activities. I used characters, icons, and realistic visuals to create an engaging experience. During Implementation, I published the course in HTML5 format for seamless LMS delivery, thoroughly testing functionality and navigation to ensure smooth transitions and accurate consequences. Finally, in the Evaluation phase, I refined the course based on user feedback, enhancing the visual consistency, fine-tuning interactions, and improving the overall learner experience. This iterative process ensured the course was engaging, effective, and aligned with adult learning principles.

The Problem
Many educators struggle to effectively support students with ADHD due to a lack of practical, research-backed strategies. Traditional training often lacks interactive, scenario-based practice, making it difficult for teachers to apply strategies in real-world classroom settings.
The Solution
I designed an interactive eLearning course that provides teachers with actionable strategies and hands-on practice. The course includes:
-
Scenario-based learning to simulate real-life classroom challenges.
-
Interactive checklists and behavior plan templates to promote immediate application.
-
Hotspot interactions that allow educators to explore ADHD-related issues in a classroom setting.
-
A downloadable completion certificate, validating their proficiency.
My Process
I followed the ADDIE model throughout the course development to ensure a structured and effective design. During the Analysis phase, I identified the target audience’s needs through educational research and teacher feedback, focusing on delivering practical ADHD strategies. In the Design phase, I created detailed storyboards and wireframes to outline the course structure and interactions. I scripted realistic classroom scenarios and designed interactive elements such as hotspots, checklists, and branching scenarios to promote hands-on learning.
In the Development phase, I built the course in Articulate Storyline, incorporating hotspot interactions to simulate ADHD-related classroom challenges and interactive checklists to help educators apply strategies in real time. I used JavaScript to generate a personalized PDF completion certificate with the participant’s name and completion date. To ensure a structured learning experience, I added progress tracking to prevent users from skipping modules.
During the Implementation phase, I published the course in HTML5 format, ensuring compatibility with LMS platforms and responsive design for seamless viewing on desktops and tablets. Finally, in the Evaluation phase, I conducted thorough testing to verify the functionality of triggers, variables, and JavaScript, refining the course based on feedback to enhance usability and accessibility.
